Purchase Options Cancellation Policy (Subscription Terms)

This policy applies to all subscription purchases made through Dr Dent. Please read carefully before subscribing.
How Subscriptions Work
When you select a subscription option at checkout, you are agreeing to:
- Automatic recurring billing at the frequency you selected (typically every 30 days)
- Automatic shipment of your selected products at each billing cycle
- Recurring charges to your payment method on file until you cancel
By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at each billing interval without requiring additional approval from you.
Subscription Billing
Billing frequency: Your subscription will renew automatically based on the interval you selected (e.g., every 30 days).
Billing amount: You will be charged the subscription price shown at checkout, which may differ from the one-time purchase price. Subscription pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice.
Billing date: Your billing date is determined by the date of your initial subscription order. For example, if you subscribe on January 15th, you will be billed on approximately the 15th of each subsequent month.
Payment method: You are responsible for ensuring your payment method on file is valid and has sufficient funds. If payment fails, we will attempt to process it again. Continued payment failures may result in subscription suspension.
No reminder notifications: We do not send reminder emails before charging your subscription. It is your responsibility to track your subscription renewal dates and cancel before the next billing cycle if you do not wish to be charged.
How to Cancel Your Subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation is easy and can be done through your account dashboard:
- Log into your account at [your website]
- Navigate to "Manage Subscriptions"
- Select the subscription you wish to cancel
- Click "Cancel Subscription"

Important timing: You must cancel your subscription before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. If you are charged after canceling, please contact us immediately.
Subscription Shipments and Returns
Each subscription shipment is treated as a separate order and has the same return eligibility as described in our Return and Refund Policy, with the following subscription-specific rules:
If You Want to Cancel AND Return Current Shipment
Scenario 1: Product has not shipped yet
- Cancel your subscription immediately through your account
- Contact us at support@drdent.co to stop the shipment
- You will not be charged, and no return is necessary
Scenario 2: Product has already shipped
- Cancel your subscription to prevent future charges
- The shipped product is subject to our return policy

Return and Refund Rules for Subscription Orders
If the product is unopened:
- You may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund
- Initiate the return through our portal
- You are responsible for return shipping costs (unless the item is defective or incorrect)
- Refund will be processed once we receive and inspect the unopened product
If the product is opened or used:
- Due to health and safety regulations, opened oral hygiene products cannot be returned
- No refund will be issued for opened products
- Your subscription will be canceled going forward, but the charge for the opened shipment is final
This policy applies even if you did not intend to be charged. By subscribing, you agree to recurring billing, and it is your responsibility to cancel before the next billing cycle.
Subscription Modifications
Changing products: You may change the products in your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Changes will take effect on your next billing cycle.
Changing frequency: You may adjust the frequency of your subscription (e.g., from 30 days to 60 days) through your account dashboard. Changes will take effect immediately.
Skipping a shipment: You may skip individual shipments through your account dashboard. This must be done before your next billing date.
"I Forgot I Had a Subscription" - No Exceptions Policy
We understand that customers may forget about their subscriptions. However:
- Subscriptions are clearly disclosed and opted into at checkout
- You authorize recurring billing when you subscribe
- We do not send reminder emails
- Forgetting about a subscription is not a valid reason for a refund if the product has been opened or used
If you are charged for a subscription renewal and do not wish to keep the product:
- Cancel your subscription immediately to prevent future charges
- If the product is unopened, return it through our portal for a refund
- If the product is opened, no refund is available, but your subscription will be canceled
We recommend setting personal calendar reminders if you wish to track your subscription renewals.
Your Legal Rights (14-Day Cooling Off Period)
Notwithstanding the above, you have statutory rights under UK and German consumer protection law:
For UK customers: You have 14 days from delivery to cancel your order and return the product for a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
For German customers: You have 14 days from delivery to exercise your right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht).
Critical limitation: These 14-day rights do not apply to sealed hygiene products once they have been opened. Under UK and German law, oral hygiene products (such as teeth whitening strips, toothpaste, whitening powder, and oil pulling products) cannot be returned once opened due to health and safety regulations. This exemption is part of consumer protection law, not our policy.
If you open and use the product within the 14-day period, you forfeit your right to return that specific item. Only unopened products in their original sealed packaging can be returned under the 14-day cooling off period.
Each subscription shipment is a separate order with its own 14-day cooling off period starting from the delivery date of that shipment.
Satisfaction Guarantee Exclusion for Subscriptions
Our 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (described in our Return and Refund Policy) is not available for subscription renewal orders. The satisfaction guarantee applies only to first-time purchases.
If you are unsatisfied with a subscription product, you may:
- Cancel your subscription to prevent future shipments
- Return unopened products within 30 days for a refund
- Opened products cannot be returned due to hygiene regulations
Failed Payments and Suspended Subscriptions
If your payment method fails:
- We will attempt to process the payment again
- You will be notified of the failed payment
- After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be suspended
- You will not receive shipments during suspension
- You may reactivate by updating your payment method
Suspended subscriptions do not automatically cancel. You must cancel explicitly if you no longer wish to subscribe.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. You will be notified of any price changes via email. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect.

Governing Law
For customers in the United Kingdom, this policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
